^Lot 788 Civil War Cartridge Box

Includes US brass plate and shoulder strap marked "A. W Decrow maker, Bangor", Tin with wood liner for ten cartridges and small cloth bag retaining two balls marked (on tag): "These two bullets found at fairfax court house Virginia in 1865". The tag and bag are civil war era and probably soldier carried home as a souvenir. The shoulder strap retains eagle plate. Condition is good to very good, overall with the normal cracks and deterioration mostly to strap. Box is slightly aging. A good example.
